Goalkeeping blunder hands Poland 1-0 win over Moldova (Reuters)
WARSAW, Feb 6 (Reuters) - A blunder from Moldova goalkeeper Stanislav Namasco handed Euro 2012 co-hosts Poland a 1-0 international friendly victory on Sunday.
Namasco allowed a shot from midfielder Dawid Plizga to slip through his legs in the 15th minute for the only goal of a lacklustre game played in Portugal. It was Plizga’s first international goal on only his second appearance.
Moldova forward Anatolie Doros caused the Polish defence plenty of problems but Franciszek Smuda’s side held firm.
Poland next face Norway on Wednesday.
