BORDEAUX, France (AP)—Bordeaux winger Yoan Gouffran could miss the rest of the season after breaking his right ankle in Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Caen in the French league.

Bordeaux announced on its website on Sunday that Gouffran had a successful operation overnight and “will be out for a period of three months.” The French league ends on May 29.

The 24-year-old Gouffran has scored two goals in 21 league games this season for ninth-placed Bordeaux.
