The Bolton Wanderers forward was arrested last October after reports a 17-year-old had been assaulted at a Manchester city centre apartment.

The Croatian football international, 30, was not there when cops arrived just before 5am, but was arrested later and bailed.

Greater Manchester Police said: "After an inquiry, a man of 30 arrested on suspicion of rape will face no further action."

The striker yesterday put Bolton into the FA Cup quarter-finals with the only goal of their tie.
