Illustration Deadlines & formatting
Hello All
Ender's Game
I wanted to set up a way forward for any future deadlines, so that we are working as a team to get the illustrations that we need in on time and to brief.
Every day from now on is precious to us and especially those illustrations that Christine using in meetings need to be "on the money", finished and seen by her before she walks out the door.
This is so Christine can get the sign-offs she needs and so we do not have to revisit concepts more than we need to.
In the morning I will make sure I am aware of the work load of each illustator. Then make sure you have a clear deadline, then I can check-in with you during the day leading up to the deadline / end of working day. I will of course work around the design time you need to have with Christine, taking into consideration the changes that are taking place and time needed for these.
When an illustration is generated it needs to be named (we are working on this template) and formatted
It may be easier to just start an illustration in the format template and just switch off the layers ... so there is one less step
Then you do not have to extend backgrounds etc and some of your information can can placed in the title bar at the bottom
Also the font is set
FORMATTING GUIDE
There are TileBar templates in the drop box under:
illustrations - ILLUS_TitleBars
There are 4 formats:
8.5 x 11 landcape
1st Assistant Costume Designer8.5 x 11 portrait
11 x 17 lanscape
11 x 17 portrait
.... the font is in this folder too
Let me know if you need any assistance, I will let you all know about the naming system when it is ironed out
best
