Roy is already on the boos - The Sun
The new West Brom boss upset supporters when he substituted the injured Graham Dorrans as the Baggies trailed to bitter relegation rivals Wolves.
But Hodgson was jumping for joy when his replacement, Mexican Carlos Vela - on loan from Arsenal - levelled in stoppage time.
The last time Hodgson faced Wolves was as Liverpool manager in December, when defeat at Anfield effectively cost him his job.
And Hodgson, who returned to the dugout just 43 days after his Kop exit, admitted: "I was happy to see the equaliser but I still think we deserved better.
"When you equalise late in the game you do have that feeling of happiness and satisfaction but I'm pretty certain when I think back on Tuesday or Wednesday I won't be quite as happy.
"Vela did well and made a difference when he came on. Arsenal do not make mistakes with the young talent they sign. He's a good loan signing for us, that's for sure."
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy said: "Yes, it could have been three but if I bemoan a point at The Hawthorns then we'll struggle."
