Never far from controversy: El-Hadji Diouf Never far from controversy: El-Hadji Diouf

El Hadji Diouf last night claimed he revels in his bad-boy image - and will welcome the jeers of opposition fans.

The controversial Senegal international is set to make his Rangers debut on Werdneday against Hearts amid public outcry at his Ibrox arrival.

But Diouf, who has never been forgiven by Celtic fans for spitting at a supporter at Parkhead during the striker's Liverpool days, said: 'I know everywhere I go people are going to boo me, but I love that.

'I expect a tough time from Celtic fans. But people never boo a bad player. The more you boo me, the more I've got power and the more I'll show you who I am. I don't want people to love me, just respect me.

'A lot of things happened in the past between me and Celtic. I regret that. I was young and used to do stupid things.

'I apologise to the Celtic fans again. I joined Rangers to win the title, win a lot of trophies, and enjoy my life and enjoy the football,' he told talkSPORT.

Diouf will undoubtedly be targeted by Celtic fans during Sunday's Old Firm Scottish Cup tie at Ibrox, but manager Walter Smith last night insisted he doesn't see the 30-year-old's signing on loan from Blackburn as a risk - and urged him to let his football do the talking in Glasgow.

With Nikica Jelavic a major doubt for this evening with a groin strain, Diouf should start against Hearts following a blaze of negative publicity which culminated in bookmakers William Hill taking bets on whether he will be sent off against Celtic and how many yellow and red cards he will land in Scotland.

Yet a defiant Smith said: 'I don't see him as a risk. He maybe comes with a reputation that even the player himself might want to tidy up a bit. But that has been the case with a fair number of players and we'll just have to handle that. He has to handle that, too. I am sure he will.

'You know those things happen and we take all of that into account when we try to sign a player. Then you hope it is the football he is remembered for.'

Smith was Paul Gascoigne's boss in the 1990s when the England star had a whole series of problems off the pitch and, occasionally, on the field, as well.

No stranger to controversial stars during his two spells at Rangers, including Andy Goram and Allan McGregor, Smith admitted: 'Things have happened with quite a number of players over the period.

'With all your players you just try to make sure they have an awareness of what can happen in games if they don't keep their temper. Diouf is an experienced player and he just needs to handle that and we need to help him.'

Northern Ireland international David Healy is also in contention for a debut tonight, while 20-year-old Arsenal defender Kyle Bartley will feature in Smith's squad following his arrival on loan.

Meanwhile, Hearts midfielder Ian Black says he knows exactly who will be Public Enemy No1 at Ibrox tonight - and it won't be Diouf.

The 25-year-old is readying himself for a barrage of abuse for his challenge which put ?4million star Jelavic out of action for four months.

'I'm sure when I run out I will get a "good" reception from the crowd,' Black said. 'Do I regret making the tackle on Jelavic? No, I don't. There was no intention there to go in and hurt him. There was no malice - I wasn't trying to injure him.'

The benefits of magnesium are unknown to many of us. This mineral is neglected by most people. This is obvious because over 90 percent of us don’t get the recommended daily allowance of this mineral in our diets. This may not seem like a big deal to many but the benefits of magnesium are often overlooked until we consider the symptoms of a deficiency.

If you notice a combination of the following symptoms you may not be reaping the many benefits of magnesium. A deficiency can be the cause of uncomfortable leg cramps that wake you from your sleep. These spasms are quite painful and they can really disrupt your ability to move as well as your sleeping patterns.

The benefits of magnesium that are often ignored may keep you from feeling fatigue and even depression. These symptoms are not commonly associated with a mineral deficiency at all and they may not help an individual realize that his diet needs supplementation. We don’t usually point our fingers at the lack of magnesium as a possible cause for depression and fatigue but they can be caused by this deficiency.

A person who has a severe deficiency will notice a loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting. These symptoms only make the condition worse because the body loses the nutrients that it so desperately needs. It is impossible to reap the benefits of magnesium if you are unable to ingest foods that contain the mineral into your system.

High blood pressure and migraines are two other symptoms that are not commonly associated with magnesium. However, some of the benefits of magnesium include properties that help people maintain a healthy blood pressure reading and they can ward off painful migraines.

What are the actual benefits of magnesium other than keeping the symptoms of a deficiency at bay? This mineral is useful in keeping the body’s heart in good condition. The mineral supplies this muscle with nutrients that it needs to run smoothly. This helps the body maintain a healthy blood pressure level as well.

The supplement is also useful in helping the body absorb other mineral as well. Minerals like calcium and potassium cling to the magnesium and are pulled into the body. Calcium is helpful in building strong bones and potassium helps the body regulate muscles. When there is a lack of potassium there is a reoccurrence of leg cramps.

The benefits of magnesium may not be quite so easy to describe. However, the importance of this mineral is evident when a body does not get enough of it.

Managing An Event For 10 people versus 100 !

When it comes to planning a small event and a big event, you will notice a huge change. You should be aware that it will make the entire planning process change. When you have a small event, you can plan with a breeze, but when it comes to planning for larger events, you should know that it comes at a very different price.

The most important thing about planning a smaller event then a bigger event is that you don't have as much as a hassle with details. Small events are often casually planned because they are usually your friends and they sympathize with you. However, when you have guests that hardly know you, it's a big deal about everything. You should know that there are quite a list of things that you need to do to have a fabulous party event, however, when you are only caring for ten people, you tend to overlook the smaller details. When it comes to managing a smaller event you are able to make quick decisions, but when you have to throw a party for 100, your options are limited.

That's the next point; with bigger parties your options are limited. You can't just decide one day that you would like to have duck and then the next have ham. If you are getting it catered, the supplier will tell you that your requests can not be dealt with in such a small time, however, they can easier find the foods that you wish to have for a small group of ten. Also, with the food comes the drinks and that can be quite an expense. You should know that an open bar can be expensive even for ten, but it can be even more costly when it comes to asking for a cash bar. So the solution to your problem for both cases is to limit your drinks. With a small party you can have two or three different kinds, but with a larger party, you may have to offer more. Depending on your guests, the event, and the budget, the drinks could be less than expected for any type of party.

Once you have gotten over the food and drinks, you then have to think about the seating. Not only do you have to plan to sit ten people, but ten times that. However, when it comes to seating, the larger events have the upper hand. You are able to be able to place your guests with either people they like or don't know, but can easily avoid those who despise each other. This can be a blessing if the event happens to be something like your wedding.

The budget is tightly effected by the size of the event. The smaller the event the smaller the budget can be, but you can spend and pay close attention to details with a smaller event. You will find that a small event can be one hell of a party, but with the larger parities, you tend to skip out on great ideas simply because they didn't fit into the budget. When it comes to budget, the smaller parties are in the lead, but there are so many discounts that you can get in bulk that the two options are almost tied.

There are so many more factors of planning an event that is affected by the size of the event. Usually smaller has a lot of benefits to the guests and the planner, but there are times that you just need to have a grand celebration and you need to be prepared to sink in the time to plan the event as well.
