KP pushed up England order - Clubcall

{

England look set to use Kevin Pietersen as an opener at the World Cup, having started with him in that role in their warm-up opener.

Andrew Strauss' men were less than impressive in beating Canada by just 16 runs in the first of two warm-up matches, but it was the batting order that caught the eye.
Pietersen, who recently denied talk that he was set to retire from ODI cricket, was given the chance to partner the captain at the top of the order, but it didn't go according to plan on Wednesday.
Both openers struggled against one of the World Cup minnows, with Strauss making just one and Pietersen out for 24 as Andy Flower's men struggled again following their recent 6-1 series defeat in Australia.
When asked by Sky Sports about his new role, Pietersen admitted: "It's really exciting. It's a nice positive move by the team. I will just look to play my normal game."
One major plus for England was the return to form and fitness of Stuart Broad. The Nottinghamshire paceman, back after a stomach muscle injury, ended the match with figures of 5-37.
